In 2009, my friend Cory Hanson and I embarked on a life changing “Around the World” Motorcycle expedition through 18 countries.

The entire trip took 118 days, and changed our lives forever.

We spent weeks riding through the far north east of Russia (Siberia), through Mongolia and Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Poland and the rest of Western Europe, before returning to North America and home to Canada.

Before we even arrived home, we had already begun planning the next trip.

In 13 days, we leave on the trip of a lifetime.  Again.

Starting in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on October 17, 2010, we will make our way south, travelling through the US, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina to the tip of South America at Tierra Del Fuego.

We will then turn around and begin the trip northward through Uraguay, Brazil, Paraguay, French Guiana, Suriname, Guyana and Venezuela before returning home.

Update:  Unfortunately Cory had to turn around in Panama due to lack of time and funds.   Luckily we had met up with a few great guys on the road, and I have continued the trip for the last 4 months with Troy Schultz from Australia.  At this point, we have some concerns about making it all the way to Tierre Del Fuego because of the lateness in the season.  We have ended up staying in a few countries (Colombia, Ecuador and Peru) much longer than originally planned.  It has been such an amazing experience that we have trouble leaving some of the places we have found.  So like all “plans” this one remains in flux.  Follow the Live Track to see where we end up.  At this point I don’t know either - Tim Dzaman, April 7, 2011.

This time, we will be spending more time learning about the cultures we are encountering.  Along the way, we’ll go so school and learn spanish.  We’ll maybe get a job at a local factory for a few days.  We’ll live with locals in their homes.  We’ll lay on the beach.

180 Days on the Road.

That's the goal.

Once again, we're just two guys doing this on our own.  We don't have any big sponsors, and are once again footing the bill for the trip ourselves.  No camera crew, no support team.

We have put up this website to help document the trip, and provide our friends, families and fans a place to see updates, as we move around the globe.  We will try very hard to keep the updates frequent, but since we will, at times, be in places a little off the beaten path, there may be some gaps.  The best place on the website to check our progress will be the MAP.  Once again, we are taking a SPOT tracker with us on the trip, so as it unfolds, you will be able to follow our route on Google Maps.

We both fully expect this Expedition will once again change and enrich our lives.

TERRANOVA means "New Land", and for us, this is exactly what we are seeking.

New lands, new faces, new experiences, new sights and new sounds.

Doing it on a motorcycle allows us to experience first hand a larger world on each mile of the journey.
